Both Andreas and Anders were a tiny bit disappointed with ending 4th, especially when looking at the pace over the weekend. – Looking at the performance and pace over the weekend, we have no reason to be disappointed. We were leading the event after Friday stages, and that was the stages I didn’t know from before. We were second after day 2, so we have proved we have the pace on tarmac.
The final day of Rally Germany turned out to be an epic battle between Andreas, Sordo and Neuville – in a battle for second and third. Ahead of the final stage Andreas decided to go for it, and he was really pushing all the way through. A bit too much, as he crossed the finish line with flames coming out of the right rear tyre, and no brakes. – I had no brakes towards the end, and no chance to keep up the pace. But I gave it a shot, pushed hard, and I could not have done anything more.
