Second at Sigdalsrally and first podium of the year for Veiby

Back in the Volkswagen Polo R5 and co-driven by Stig Rune Skjærmoen, Ole Christian was fastest through the opening stage and completed the first loop of 3 stages leading overall. It was a close battle between Ole Christian, Frank Tore Larsen and Eyvind Brynhildsen throughout the day. Unfortunately, road-opener Frank Tore went off the road and had to retire, leaving the battle to Ole Christian and Eyvind. Ahead of the final stage they were only separated by 0,5 seconds. Ole Christian was fastest on the Power stage, but it was not enough to hold off Eyvind, who won by only 0,2 seconds overall.

– We gave it everything on the Power Stage, unfortunate for us that Frank Tore stopped, leaving us to open the road. However, today Eyvind were fastest. We had a fantastic day on icy and fast Norwegian stages today with the Polo. Happy with P2, but such a shame to miss out on winning by only 0,2 seconds! Really enjoyed the battle with Eyvind, more motivated than ever now for victory on the next round!
